Program Manager

Position Summary

  • Sotio is expanding its portfolio of R&D programs (cell-based therapies, antibody-drug conjugates, small molecules, etc.).
  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to contribute to the growing portfolio of innovative oncological treatments.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Program Manager has the overall responsibility for the successful planning and execution of the R&D Program
  • Leads cross-functional and inter-corporate project teams towards the program goals
  • Executes demanding communication at multiple levels within Sotio and with external partners (Joint Steering Committee, joint project teams, Sotio management board).
  • Leads the process of establishing and executing of project plans (incl budget) for all phases of pharmaceutical development (pre-clinical, clinical, commercialization)
  • Ensures cost effectiveness of the program
  • Ensures timely execution of the program milestones
  • Interfaces with financial program controlling
  • Acts as a facilitator for problem solving within the project teams
  • Escalates program issues in timely manner
  • Contributes to the development of uniformly used program and project management tools and practices

Competences, Skills and Qualification

Qualification:

  • Life science degree, preferably a PhD or MD
  • 3+ years of program management experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or 5+ years of project management experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Additional qualification/certification in project/program management is a plus. Proficiency in project scope definition and analyses (Target Product Profile, critical path, …)
  • Solid understanding of all phases of drug development (pre-clinical, clinical, commercialization)
  • Experience with development of biologics
  • Ability to manage projects in the context of corporate partnerships
  • Excellent business English, written and verbal
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software (incl Project Management)
